Our full range of over 350+ Pure Silk embroidery colours.
Our Pure Silk thread is continuous filament silk which means the silk thread from the silk moth is un-broken (they are one continuous thread).
Spun silk is a different product and something we do not supply, it is the remnants of silk waste product spun together.
We custom make x6 different silk thread thicknesses ourselves, here in the UK.
6 thread (120 denier)
Our finest silk thread. Loose twist. Perfect for silk shading.
Within a single 6 thread strand is x6 super fine strands from x6 silk cocoons.
Our 6 thread is equivalent to 1 strand of DMC thread split in half again
I.e take the DMC thread as a whole, split it down into its 6 strands, then take one of the those single 6 strands and split it in half again.
