Beautiful Silk Mawata CapIt can take anything from 30 to 37 silk worm cocoons to make one Mawata silk cap. They are made by stretching the silk over a cap shaped frame to make something that resembles a stretched hat, although we would say it is more of a sheet of silk that a hat. The result is a beautifully smooth piece of silk that is amazing to work with.
They can be used for spinning, felting, needle felting, creative embroidery or many other mixed media crafts.
